California Council of Adult Education (CCAE)
Awards Breakfast

The following awards will presented at the California Council of Adult Education Awards Breakfast on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 8:30–9:45 a.m.  Awards breakfast is open to all registered conference attendees, preregister for only $15.00.

Excellence in Teaching
Everyday, gifted teachers reach out and touch their students’ hearts and souls.  Adult education teachers truly understand that learning is lifelong, and they give their expertise to anyone with a thirst for knowledge.

Eligibility:  The nominee is a teacher with five or more years of experience who is recognized as a master teacher.  CCAE membership for at least five years, including the current year, is required.


Excellence in Support Services
This award recognizes outstanding service to CCAE at the chapter, section, or state levels by a classified employee.

Eligibility:  The nominee must be employed in classified status in an adult education program.  Membership in CCAE for at least five years, including the current year, is required.  Nominee must be selected by their respective Section Boards.


Retirement Recognition
This recognition is presented to CCAE members retiring this current school year.

Eligibility:  The honoree must be a retiring member with a minimum of three years membership in CCAE including the current year.  Submissions will be made by respective Chapters to their Section Boards.  Section Boards will submit names to State Awards Committee.  This recognition will be made at the annual state conference.
