Sunset Bay Cruise and Dinner Dance

While the sun sets and the city lights twinkle, we will cruise the bay on the Hornblower’s yacht, Belle, experiencing dazzling views of the city, the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, and the “underbelly” of the Golden Gate Bridge (weather permitting)! This special conference event includes dinner, music, and dancing making this an unforgettable evening on the San Francisco Bay.

- Only 400 tickets available
- Full buffet featuring roast beef with horseradish cream sauce, pan-roasted salmon, assorted breads and rolls, Caesar salad, tortellini pasta salad, herb and garlic-roasted potatoes, local seasonal vegetables, fresh fruit display, and a selection of tasty desserts
- A no-host cash bar with beer, wine, and cocktails
- Buses start transporting guests from the Hilton Hotel at 5:30 p.m.
- Sunset Bay Cruise and Dinner Dance begins at 6:30 p.m.
- Buses return guests to Hilton Hotel between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m.
Charter buses will shuttle people from the Hilton to the Hornblower Yacht landing starting at 5:30pm; last shuttle will leave the Hilton at 6:00 p.m.
Assemble in the hotel lobby by the Taylor Street entrance (near the Concierge).
Bring your tickets (which will serve as admission to both the shuttle and the cruise), cash for the no-host bar (optional), and a camera for the numerous “photo opps”!

- Field Trips to Local Adult Education Program–Pre-register now (or modify your registration) for one of three field trips to adult education programs in San Francisco. All visits are scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Space is limited to 20 visitors per site, so register now! Please note: The cost of this event is covered by your conference registration. However, you must cover your own public transportation and lunch costs.
- The Mission District Only a few spaces left! (9:00 AM to 1:30 PM)–Visit a unique bi-lingual ABE, GED, and HSD program in the city’s colorful Mission District. Meet with a CCAE/COABE volunteer at 9:00 AM in front of the hotel for a BART ride and 10-minute walk to the Mission District. (Approximately $4 round-trip). At 10:00 AM, student ambassadors will escort you to bi-lingual Spanish ABE, GED, and HSD classrooms. Then you’ll enjoy a short guided walking tour of the Mission District and choose from a variety of interesting and inexpensive cuisines for lunch. A CCAE/COABE volunteer will guide you back to BART after lunch.
- The Haight Ashbury Booked-up (9:00 AM to 1:30 PM)–The Haight Street area is home to an extensive ABE, GED, and HSD program that integrates credit and non-credit classes to assist students in meeting their educational goals. The adult education program is located four blocks from the intersection of Haight and Ashbury Streets, which was the geographical heart of the 1960’s youth movement. Meet with a CCAE/COABE volunteer at 9:00 AM in front of the hotel for a short walk to Market Street to catch Muni Bus 21 for a 20-minute ride to the site ($4 round-trip). At 10:00 AM, student ambassadors will escort you to ABE, GED, and HSD classrooms. Then enjoy a short walking tour of Haight Ashbury and lunch at a restaurant of your choice. A CCAE/COABE volunteer will assist you in finding the correct bus to return to the hotel.
- Downtown San Francisco Booked-up (9:30 AM to 1:30 PM)–Visit an ABE/ESL culinary skills program in downtown San Francisco that moves students quickly and successfully into the job market. Also visit the Vocational Office Training Program (VOTP), a certificate program offered jointly through the ESL and Business departments. Meet with a CCAE/COABE volunteer at 9:30 AM in front of the hotel for a 10-minute walk to the adult education program. From 10:00 to 12:00, tour the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Program and the VOTP. At noon, enjoy a lunch prepared and served by students in the onsite restaurant, The Educated Palate, or eat at restaurant of your choice in the downtown area.
Cityscape is located on the 46th floor with fourteen-foot high windows and has views of San Francisco's most famous landmarks including the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, Alcatraz, Union Square, City Hall, AT&T Park (Home of the Giants) and more.
