Awards Luncheon

The following awards will be given at the Mountain Plains Adult Education Association (MPAEA) Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 11:45–1:15 p.m.  Awards luncheon is open to all registered conference attendees, preregister for only $15.00.

All nominees must be a current resident of one of the eight states comprising the Mountain Plains membership area: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

Award of Merit
This award is honors an individual who has made an outstanding contribution toward furthering the concept of adult education as a process continuing throughout life.

The recipient must be a member of MPAEA. Their contribution may be on a community, state, regional or national level that has been made within the last year to several years. This is the highest award given by the Association. One award is given per year.

Awards of Excellence
This award is to honor an individual who has made significant contributions to the advancement of adult education at the state or local level. The recipient must be a member of his/her state affiliate or MPAEA. One award is given per state; eight total awards will be presented.
